Patches on dutyI kept the fuel and oil in the generators and Patches stood guard over them. She couldn't understand why we had a refrigerator and lights, the kids had DVD's and the internet but where was her favorite thing... The air conditioning. Our telephone was working within days of the storm or I should say it had a dial tone as we couldn't call anyone and no one could call in but we were able to dial in to the Bellsouth.net server and log on. Other than the radio this was our only source of information outside our area and provided email service, along with countless hours of entertainment for the kids.
